Hello, and welcome to Denver’s North End Neighborhood, one of the final developments in the burgeoning Central Park (CP) Community, a collection of 12 distinctive neighborhoods formerly known as Stapleton. Since its inception nearly 25 years ago, CP has grown rapidly to encompass over 30,000 people and more than 100 businesses, many of them woman-owned enterprises. Built on the grounds of the former Stapleton International Airport, whose tarmac has since been recycled to build sidewalks and other infrastructure projects, CP has grown so quickly that it now commands its own zip code, 80238.

As the CP Master Community Association (MCA) District 11 Delegate, I serve as the voice of the North End Neighborhood in monthly community forums, articulating the aspirations and concerns of residents in CP’s largest district. In this community-elected role, I strive to represent all people equally, and welcome your input. Similarly, as the delegate-elected MCA Executive Board Vice President, I work collaboratively with my fellow board members to ensure the MCA is well-funded and operating efficiently, making the most of resident and business dues.

In keeping with my fiduciary duty as an executive board member, I also strive to ensure the MCA is working collaboratively with its strategic business partners, Westerly Creek Metropolitan District (WCMD) and Park Creek Metropolitan District (PCMD), who collect and spend funds respectively on infrastructure projects, such as public parks and pools, which the MCA maintains and operates. Lastly, I work to foster the diverse range of cultural programs and seasonal events the MCA is known for, and support the hardworking MCA staff whose contributions make CP a great place to live, work, and visit.

My Promise to You

As the District 11 Delegate and MCA Executive Board Vice President, I collaborate with community leaders from across our 30,000+ person community and beyond. This includes but is not limited to board members and committee chairs of registered neighborhood organizations (RNO), such as Central Park United Neighbors (CPUN), as well as the MCA’s strategic business partners, Westerly Creek Micropublication District (WCMD) and Park Creek Metropolitan District (PCMD), who operate as quasi-governmental entities, collecting and applying funds drawn from residents to build local infrastructure, e.g., parks, pools, and more, which the MCA contractually maintains and operates. That said, it is my pledge to speak on behalf of all residents, regardless of age, race, gender, ethnicity, religious affiliation, or other identifying factors, to create a more inclusive and welcoming community, one that reflects the values put forth in the Green Book, the guiding document on which Central Park was founded.
